Fight Off Erectile Dysfunction with Generic Tadalafil

Men typically become familiar with erectile dysfunction medications especially if they themselves have ED problems.  They will certainly be familiar with different types of ED medications out there, especially Viagra, but what if they are not suitable for taking that drug?  Enter the other types of drugs indicated for erectile dysfunction issues, and one of them is generic tadalafil.  Generic tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor that is sold in tablets or pills, and its main purpose is to help treat men who suffer from erectile dysfunction problems.  Generic tadalafil is sold in the market under the brand name Cialis, and if the indication is for pulmonary arterial hypertension, then that generic tadalafil is named under the brand name Adcirca.

In October of the year 2011, generic tadalafil was approved by the US FDA for treating the symptoms and signs of benign prostatic hypertrophy as well as the combination of benign prostatic hypertrophy and erectile dysfunction when both of them occur on a patient.  Generic tadalafil tablets are available in the market in doses of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg. Generic tadalafil tablets or pills are mainly film-coated, yellow and they are shaped like almonds. As for pulmonary arterial hypertension, generic tadalafil must be taken 40 mg once per day, which means that the patient must take two 20-mg generic tadalafil tablets.

The approval of Viagra in the United States by the FDA in 1998 has become a ground-breaking event for the effective treatment of ED in men that it has prompted many pharmaceutical companies to research and develop other PDE5 inhibitor medications that can help treat ED effectively, and as much as possible, without the adverse side effects that Viagra entails.  In October 2011, generic tadalafil (Cialis) was approved by the FDA for the treatment of signs and symptoms associated with benign prostatic hypertrophy.  Benign prostatic hypertrophy is a condition in men wherein their prostate gland becomes unusually large, thus interfering with the flow of urine. The symptoms commonly experienced when one has benign prostatic hypertrophy is that they have sudden urges to urinate, they have difficulties in initial urinating, they have a weak stream of urine, and lots of instances of frequent urination at night.

Generic tadalafil has been taken in an estimate of 15,000 males who participated in generic tadalafil clinical trials and more than 8 million men all over the world have already taken generic tadalafil at some point in their lives.  The most common side effects that men have experienced after taking generic tadalafil are: stomach pain or discomfort, headache, burping, indigestion, back pain, acid reflux, flushing, muscle aches and a runny or stuff nose.  These common side effects actually shows that the ability of generic tadalafil as a PDE5 inhibitor causes vasodilation (the blood vessels widen in order to have blood travel more smoothly and easily) and the side effects usually go away after some time, say a few hours.  In some people, muscle aches and back pain are felt after 12 to 24 hours of taking generic tadalafil, and these two side effects usually go away after 48 hours or so.
